The team traveling to Uganda in
September plans on setting up a "Sewing and Knitting " club in Kampala Uganda.
What are the project needs?
For knitting: "Bond" knitting machines, yarns that will
work on the Bond, spare parts, yarn winders,counters and other things needed to
get the most out of the Bond. The other needs.
For sewing: Fabrics,
sewing needles, foot pedals, small transformers for
the sewing machines, (Uganda uses different voltage from the U.S, we purchase
these from Radio Shack), threads, foot plates, patterns, and scissors.
How much you take?
We are ready to take as much as people are willing to donate. The team that is
going to
Uganda is going to be very big and we are also planning on a container shipment
that should leave for Uganda early June.
Do you accept checks?
Yes, clearly indicate that your donation is towards the "Uganda Knitting Project"
and 100% of your donations will be mailed to Uganda and spent on this project.
